After our 1st pre-jury, we continued to study new relations. New operation to be used is ‘tear&fold’ which we fold the part where we tear and also we can stretch the folded part for attain new relation.
We were asked to study ”tear&fold’ and discover its potentials in terms of relation.
This assignment had 7 steps which were related to each other and aimed to understand how 3D construct can be formed step by step.
Step-1 We were asked to draw a grid of 36 x 36 cm, in which the intervals are same in both x and y directions. We decided on the intervals, I did 9x9cm.
Step-2 We were assigned to apply move and cut/paste operations to the lines which were on the grid that we produced.
Step-3 We iterated step2 with more operations; move,add,cut/paste,rotate the lines.
Step-4 We worked in groups of 4. We related our grids through their edges. We worked with the same operations.
Step-5 We created a grid system in groups of 8. We used colorful line to show primary elements. We decided the primary lines by looking at their relations on the grid.
Step-5’revised version| We tried to find primary, secondary elements and we eliminated the elements which were not belong to our grid system.
